Director of Operations

Abby’s Catering is a boutique airline catering company serving international carriers from its Houston IAH base. It is hiring a hands-on Director of Operations to run its around-the-clock production and flight operations. The role partners closely with executive leadership, including the COO and General Manager.

• Walk the floor daily, inspecting and supporting night shifts, dish wash, cold production, sanitation and ramp transport.
• Oversee daily transport, truck loading and aircraft catering setup to hit on-time targets and meet airport security rules.
• Raise productivity, lower cost per unit, reduce waste and meet airline contract specifications.
• Lead and mentor a multi-department team, with clear development plans for direct reports.
• Drive the EOS methodology to track metrics, solve root-cause issues with IDS and streamline processes.

The company operates on EOS and describes a “one team” culture that makes no distinction between office and floor staff. The posting lists L10 meetings, Scorecards, Rocks and the Accountability Chart as tools this leader is expected to use. Airline catering industry experience is mandatory, and candidates need practical EOS experience or a full commitment to mastering it.
