EOS Jobs (“we”, “us”) is operated by BN Books & Taxation Pty Ltd (ABN 87 698 989 856). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Employers: your name, email address, company name, ABN, website, logo, the content of your job ads, and billing details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Job seekers: we don’t require an account. When you apply, your application goes directly to the employer by email or through their own website, under their privacy policy.
- Everyone: messages you send us, and basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our web host and by cookies needed for the site to work (for example, keeping you signed in).
How we use it
- To publish and manage job ads, and to check employers and ads before they go live.
- To take payment, issue tax invoices and keep records required by Australian tax law.
- To answer your questions and send emails about your account or ads.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud or misuse.
We don’t sell personal information. We don’t send marketing email unless you’ve opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the site: our web host, Stripe (payments) and our email delivery provider. Some of these may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. Information in a published job ad is public. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires (generally five years) and delete or de-identify other information when we no longer need it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing [email protected]. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
